Repairs and maintains the manufacturing areas and facilities by being highly skilled in one or more fields of expertise, with an advanced and/or general working knowledge of the following:

Mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting, installation, and assembly of packaging and mixing equipment. Sheet metal layout/fabrication, TIG/arc welding, acetylene welding and cutting, pipe and plumbing fitting, instrumentation. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Work directly with the Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Planner/Scheduler, and other mechanics to troubleshoot and repair equipment and infrastructure. Respond promptly to Production line calls to inform personnel of machinery status and repairs. Operate machinery to test performance. Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment in the Production department. Observe mechanical devices in operation, listen for irregular sounds to locate issues. Adjust machinery and control equipment for optimal efficiency. Dismantle machinery to access and repair defective parts. Inspect used and new parts for dimensional accuracy and imperfections. Prioritize daily work activities based on plant/utility needs. Follow OSHA and Griffith Foods safety rules and lockout/tagout procedures at all times. Track daily work and time spent using the CMMS, and summarize at day's end. Coordinate with Parts Inventory clerk for ordering parts and equipment. Evaluate and suggest improvements in methods, procedures, and processes. Perform preventive maintenance and lubrication as needed. Ensure all work adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices. Assist in training Maintenance personnel on plant equipment. Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED; minimum five years of maintenance experience. Experience in food or chemical manufacturing required. Knowledge in Safety (Industrial and Personal), Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic systems, Basic PLC programming, Pipe fitting/Plumbing. Ability to understand detailed oral or written instructions and analyze problems. Computer proficiency: CMMS data entry, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel. Forklift Operator Certification or ability to obtain within one year. Willingness to attend maintenance training courses annually or as needed. Physical Demands:

Regularly use hands for handling and feeling; communicate verbally and audibly. Frequently stand, walk, reach; occasionally sit. Lift/move up to 80 pounds regularly, up to 100 pounds occasionally. Visual requirements include close and distance vision. Work Environment:

Exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet/humid conditions, moderate noise levels. Hearing protection required in designated areas.
