We are seeking a highly skilled Test Automation Engineer with strong expertise in automation frameworks, embedded systems, and the DMTF Redfish standard. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) setups to ensure robust validation of embedded devices and firmware solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using the Robot Framework for embedded and firmware validation.
Implement automated conformance and interoperability tests based on the DMTF Redfish standard, including schemas, profiles, and conformance validation.
Utilize and extend Redfish conformance validation tools to ensure compliance across devices.
Collaborate with firmware and system engineering teams to set up and maintain Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test environments.
Work with embedded communication interfaces (Ethernet, UART, CAN, etc.) for device-level testing.
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) to enable continuous validation and reporting.
Develop and maintain test reporting dashboards and analytics to monitor quality metrics and coverage.
Validate system security and networking features, including TLS 1.3, RBAC, and other secure authentication mechanisms.
Execute tests in Linux-based embedded environments and troubleshoot issues across multiple hardware and software layers.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of hands‑on experience in test automation for embedded systems.
Strong expertise with Robot Test Automation Framework.
In‑depth knowledge of the DMTF Redfish standard, including schemas, profiles, and tools.
Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems and embedded communication interfaces.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control (Git).
Proficiency with Linux environments and scripting languages such as Python or Shell.
Understanding of networking and security protocols, particularly TLS 1.3 and RBAC.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in complex test environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience contributing to Redfish‑based solutions or DMTF working groups.
Knowledge of RESTful API validation frameworks and data modeling (JSON, OpenAPI).
Exposure to containerized environments (Docker) and virtualization.
Soft Skills
Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills.
Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high‑quality software.
Ability to work effectively in cross‑functional and distributed teams.
