Responsibilities
GAAP financial reporting and analysis of taxes
Partnering with Business Units to implement and design tax planning strategies and transactions
Preparation and review of Federal, International, State and Local Tax Compliance
Recommendations of improvements to compliance processes
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other related business disciplines
Corporate Tax Experience (6-7 years), financial services sector is preferred, international expertise a plus
Knowledge of corporate tax topics
Strong GAAP accounting for taxes: ASC-740/FAS 109/FIN48
Understanding of financial service companies including Investment and Asset Management
Strong oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational/analytical skills
Proven leadership track record
Solid computer skills – proficient in standard Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint)
Assertive, creative and proactive
Strong work ethic and ability to partner in a team‑oriented environment
Organized and flexible – ability to manage multiple projects/assignments while meeting deadlines
It’d be a plus if you had
CPA and/or Master’s degree in tax or accounting
CorpTax Compliance software skills
Other comments
Overtime will be required, especially during peak periods
This is a hybrid position; associate will be required to come into the office 3 days per week
What we offer you Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $118,700.00 to $176,600.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
Market competitive base salaries, with a yearly bonus potential at every level.
