The Healthcare Electrical Superintendent will lead all field operations for major healthcare construction projects, ensuring electrical systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in strict compliance with healthcare standards and codes. This position requires a highly organized and experienced leader who understands the critical nature of hospital environments—where reliability, infection control, and life safety systems are paramount. This is an ideal role for a superintendent who takes pride in managing complex healthcare installations, mentoring field teams, and ensuring projects exceed expectations for safety, quality, and patient‑care functionality. Responsibilities

Oversee day‑to‑day field operations on healthcare and hospital projects from start to finish. Ensure all electrical installations comply with NEC, NFPA 99 / 70, and healthcare facility regulations. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and hospital facility staff to maintain seamless communication and minimize disruptions to ongoing operations. Supervise and mentor foremen, journeymen, and apprentices to promote a culture of accountability, craftsmanship, and safety. Plan manpower, materials, tools, and equipment for efficient execution of project phases. Conduct daily job‑site walks and safety inspections; lead toolbox talks and safety meetings. Verify accuracy of drawings, specifications, and as‑built documentation. Resolve field issues quickly to maintain schedule integrity and workflow continuity. Collaborate in project planning meetings and contribute to pre‑construction reviews for healthcare‑specific logistics and risk assessment. Uphold the company’s reputation for quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction across all project stages. Additional Responsibilities

Oversee all field operations, ensuring electrical installations meet design specifications, schedule, and quality standards. Lead and manage foremen, electricians, and subcontractors to ensure efficient daily operations. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and general contractors to resolve conflicts and maintain workflow. Enforce company and OSHA safety standards, promoting a proactive safety culture. Review drawings, specifications, and schedules to plan manpower, materials, and equipment needs. Conduct site walks and inspections to ensure workmanship meets company and client expectations. Track progress, productivity, and manpower to align with project budgets and timelines. Mentor and develop field leaders, fostering long‑term growth and accountability. Participate in project planning, scheduling, and coordination meetings. Support preconstruction efforts with field insights and constructability input. Qualifications

8+ years of electrical construction experience, with at least 3 years dedicated to healthcare projects. Proven leadership managing large‑scale hospital or healthcare electrical installations ($5M+). Deep understanding of NFPA 99, NEC, Joint Commission, and OSHPD / healthcare compliance requirements. Exceptional leadership, communication, and coordination skills. Proficiency in interpreting complex drawings and coordinating with multiple trades. OSHA 30 certification required; State Electrical License preferred. Experience with lean construction practices, BIM coordination, and prefabrication a plus. Proficiency in scheduling and project management software preferred. Benefits
