Environmental Engineer
Franklin International, a leading manufacturer of adhesives, coatings, and sealants, is seeking an Environmental Engineer. This role provides engineering support and advice on environmental, regulatory compliance, Process Safety Management, and operational impacts.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the design of pollution control systems and measures.
Conduct site assessments, data analysis, and prepare reports.
Manage permitting and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and Process Safety Management.
Provide creative and analytical Environmental Engineering support for solutions to environmental challenges.
Design, plan, and manage projects that protect public health and the environment.
Inform and advise operating facilities on safety and environmental regulations.
Prepare and review data for environmental reports to regulatory agencies.
Provide EH&S awareness training.
Assist in negotiations with regulatory agencies.
Collaborate with internal and external resources to implement solutions.
Perform investigations to resolve water or air quality problems.
Support review of new and revised environmental regulations.
Key Accountabilities
Calculate and validate emissions and other air related controls.
Manage UST compliance and related reporting.
Assist with CAD drawings and other engineering related EHS tasks (P&ID, Flow Diagram).
Assist with RMP and SPCC, review/design of containment and related tasks.
Assist in maintaining, renewing, and updating environmental permits.
Assist with applicable environmental reports.
Ensure compliance with applicable environmental regulations.
Train employees in EHS awareness.
Support the review of new and revised environmental regulations.
Maintain and communicate database information.
Conduct appropriate environmental area auditing.
Assist with waste minimization and other process related tasks.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Environmental or Chemical Engineering (or other engineering disciplines).
Minimum three (3) years of industrial experience in environmentally related project areas.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with relevant software for data analysis and system design.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
