Job Description
Pay Range: $45.10hr - $50.10hr
The OT Cybersecurity Specialist works on-site at the plant location, acting as a liaison between operations and the corporate Cybersecurity team.
This role focuses on securing Operational Technology (OT) environments, managing vulnerabilities, supporting OT projects, and implementing cybersecurity policies and standards for plant systems.
Responsibilities
Attend plant operations and process control meetings to coordinate cybersecurity activities.
Work with process control system SMEs and operational staff to design, implement, and support security of OT networked systems.
Manage vulnerabilities in OT environments and assist in evaluating and prioritizing OT risks.
Support OT project reviews and identify cybersecurity needs.
Prepare, review, and maintain documentation, policies, and standards for OT equipment and networks.
Maintain accurate inventories of OT environments and complete system boundary security assessments.
Facilitate 3rd party/vendor cybersecurity processes.
Identify and assist in remediating risks for non-compliant networks or devices (e.g., wireless, IIoT).
Assist in creating, reviewing, and maintaining response and recovery plans for OT environments.
Communicate, evaluate, and prioritize OT risks.
Implement cybersecurity procedures and support adoption of the NIST framework.
Participate in OT security incident response activities.
Support corporate-wide OT initiatives and OT Security Specialists at other locations.
Requirements / Must Have
Combination of education, certifications, and relevant experience in cybersecurity or OT systems.
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and participate as a team player.
Strong understanding of IT and OT systems, operating systems, network/system architecture, and IT design.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical risks in clear terms.
Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of IT and OT network protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, DNP3, Modbus, IEC 61850, OPC, OPC UA, and PROFINET; ability to perform packet analysis.
Hands-on experience with OT systems such as PLCs, SCADA, and DCS preferred.
Process safety knowledge is a plus.
Cybersecurity-related certifications preferred.
