Principal, Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor
We are a young, dynamic public accounting and consulting firm, with offices in Woodland Hills, Lake Forest, Riverside, Tempe, Las Vegas, and Virginia. This position will be based out of our Woodland Hills office. There will be some client-based travel throughout Southern California. We are actively searching for a senior staff accountant to support our litigation and forensic accounting consulting practice. Candidate must have experience in litigation and forensic accounting. We are looking for friendly, outgoing, hard-working candidates who enjoy working in a fast-paced office environment and being a team player. Financial statement understanding and knowledge. Basic bookkeeping knowledge. An interest in forensic accounting and technologies. A willingness to learn our business, apply yourself daily, and demonstrate the ongoing development of skills and abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft suite and QuickBooks. Must demonstrate a strong writing proficiency and overall communication skill. Forensic accounting experience required. Additionally, we are looking for candidates who command a willingness to learn, adapt, and react to client demands, and demonstrate a strong work ethic. Candidates who are detail oriented, dependable, and reliable, and share an interest to grow and learn are strongly suited for this position. RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with team members to satisfy the requirements and needs of the following types of engagements: Consulting: We often provide accounting consulting services to attorneys and others involved in litigation, bankruptcy, and restructuring, and in private matters (mediations). Candidates will serve in support to these types of engagements. Valuation: We prepare detailed valuation analyses related to litigation. Candidates may serve in support to these types of engagements. Additionally, the Candidate may also be required to assist in other engagements, including: Business Management: We are retained by high-net-worth individuals and small businesses to handle their bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, and other financial matters. Assurance Services: We provide audit, review, and compilation services for small and medium-sized businesses. Tax Returns: We provide tax preparation and advisory services for a wide variety of clients. SKILLS
Strong work ethic. Proactive Self Starter. Knowledge and understanding of Financial Statements. Basic bookkeeping knowledge. Critical thinker. Dependable and reliable. Great social skills, as we interact with clients daily. Proficient in Excel. Ability to write coherently with proper grammar. Willingness to grow and learn. Public accounting experience a plus. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field. 3-5 years experience in the accounting industry. CPA (if not obtained, CPA eligibility preferred). A willingness to obtain additional credentials. An ability to travel, as needed. Seniority level
