We have immediate opportunities for Senior Fisheries Biologists for the Southern California area. Duties and Responsibilities
Ability to lead, manage and execute fisheries and aquatic resource-related studies, including design and implementation of fisheries assessments, habitat assessments, fish population analyses, fish passage assessments, instream flow studies, benthic macroinvertebrate bioassessments, and aquatic restoration efforts. This person will also oversee fisheries and aquatic resource data analyses and provide quality assurance/quality control. Other responsibilities may include building and maintaining client relations, leading pursuits of upcoming project work, preparation of scopes and budgets, strategic planning, and mentoring/supervising junior and mid-level staff. Educations and Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree plus 10 years’ experience or Master’s or PHD with a minimum of seven years of experience. Candidates should be well-versed in issues related to coastal/marine, aquatic ecology with strong knowledge and experience with projects involving freshwater and anadromous fish species, as well as preparation of CEQA, NEPA, and ESA/CESA compliance documents. Knowledge and experience with FERC processes is also desired.
