Responsibilities

Utilize troubleshooting and critical thinking skills related to IT system dependencies, impacts, and sustainability.

Develop and design new IT solutions to improve efficiency and sustainability of the Ground System Elements and Mission Suites.

Document designs and develop implementation and test plans to be installed by sustainment personnel.

Collaborate with cybersecurity, DevSecOps, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure integration and compliance.

Work with Project Managers to produce artifacts to support preliminary, detailed, and critical design reviews with stakeholders.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Training:

Bachelor’s Degree in any IT or STEM related field required.

Experience:

5+ years of system engineering experience.

1+ year of experience in a leadership role.

Documented experience developing and editing Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) or Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) products for IT systems required.

Experience in the decomposition of complex mission systems into manageable components required.

Experience in developing detailed implementation plans for new solutions and systems.

Experience in systems engineering related to IT and satellite ground systems.

Experience with Requirements Analysis and Management.

Demonstrable understanding of the System Engineering V Model and engineering lifecycle.

Security Requirements

Must be a U.S. citizen.

Active DoD issued Secret Clearance required.

Active DoD issued Top/Secret SCI clearance preferred.

Physical Requirements

Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms.

Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk.

Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel-toed shoes, etc.).

Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time.

Salary Salary: $130,000 - $155,000. Competitive and commensurate with experience and industry standards. Comprehensive benefits package may include health insurance, paid time off, and retirement savings options.
