Utilize troubleshooting and critical thinking skills related to IT system dependencies, impacts, and sustainability. Develop and design new IT solutions to improve efficiency and sustainability of the Ground System Elements and Mission Suites within MDSEA. Execute studies, analysis, detailed requirements definition, system engineering, preliminary and detailed ground system architecture designs, and system development of Enterprise Services, satellite ground systems, and operations centers to include all supporting facilities. Maintain alignment to support Team Leads: infrastructure, networks, integration, logistics plans, cybersecurity and physical security protection plans, and cost and schedule estimates for the development, fielding, tests, and operations of planned space capabilities. Conduct project initiation, requirements management, task management and development of artifacts for the Technical Baseline Document designs and develop implementation and test plans to be installed by sustainment personnel. Collaborate with cybersecurity, DevSecOps, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure integration and compliance. Work with Project Managers to produce artifacts to support preliminary, detailed, and critical design reviews with stakeholders. Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Execute studies, analysis, requirements definition, system engineering, architecture designs, and system development of Enterprise Services, satellite ground systems, and operations centers.

Maintain alignment to support Team Leads in infrastructure, networks, integration, logistics plans, cybersecurity, physical security, and cost/schedule estimates.

Conduct project initiation, requirements management, task management, and development of artifacts for the Technical Baseline Document and implementation/test plans.

Collaborate with cybersecurity, DevSecOps, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure integration and compliance.

Work with Project Managers to produce artifacts for design reviews with stakeholders.

Adhere to safety protocols and use of PPE where required.

Qualifications

Education/Training: Bachelors Degree in any IT or STEM related field required.

Experience: 3+ years of system engineering experience.

Documented experience developing and editing Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) or Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) products for IT systems required.

Experience in the decomposition of complex mission systems into manageable components.

Experience in developing detailed implementation plans for new solutions and systems.

Experience in systems engineering related to IT and satellite ground systems.

Experience with Requirements Analysis and Management; understanding of the System Engineering V Model and lifecycle.

Must be a US citizen.

Active DoD issued Secret Clearance required; Top/Secret SCI clearance preferred.

Physical ability to perform duties (e.g., occasional lifting up to 20 pounds) and comply with PPE safety requirements.

Salary: $115,000 - 140,000
