About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced, strategic, and hands‑on Controller to lead our accounting operations and financial reporting functions from our Houston, TX office. In this key leadership role, you’ll ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all financial processes while partnering with senior leadership to drive growth, transparency, and fiscal discipline. Oversee all corporate accounting operations, including general ledger, payroll, tax compliance, and treasury functions Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and applicable regulations Lead, coach, and develop accounting staff to achieve high performance and professional growth Manage accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure efficiency and accuracy Direct monthly and annual close procedures, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses Coordinate and lead external audits and tax reviews Develop, implement, and maintain internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity Provide financial analysis, forecasts, budgets, and KPI reporting to support informed decision‑making Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimize ERP systems and streamline financial workflows Support strategic initiatives including mergers, acquisitions, integrations, and process enhancements Lead special projects and continuous improvement efforts that advance the organization’s financial capabilities Perform other duties as assigned What Makes You a Great Fit
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; advanced degree (MBA or Master’s in Accounting) preferred CPA or CMA designation a plus Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience in supervisory or leadership roles Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting standards, including ASC 842, ASC 606, and ASC 805 Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop high‑performing teams Experience in Private Equity‑owned and multi‑entity or multi‑location environments Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems such as NetSuite and Stampli Strong understanding of invoicing, collections, inventory, and operational accounting processes Excellent communication skills with executive presence and the ability to influence across teams High ethical standards, sound judgment, and integrity in managing financial data Strong analytical and organizational abilities, with a track record of managing multiple priorities and delivering results Industry experience in oilfield services, energy, laboratory, or industrial operations preferred The Perks of Being Part of Our Team
