DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key duties for this position include the following: Establish client base of wedding planners, vendors, organizations, associations and commercial businesses through direct outside sales efforts to secure business for the hotel and meet or exceed predetermined sales expectations. Grow and develop the South East Asian market and build relationships with invested planners and specific vendors. Negotiate food and beverage prices, function space, room rates and hotel services within approved booking guidelines and confirm all group requirements in writing. Conduct tours of the hotel and banquet facilities; entertain potential clients in accordance with the company and property policies. Assist clients with menu planning and coordinate food, beverage, table arrangements and decorations in tandem with the Social Servicing Manager. Monitor local competitors and compare their operations. Solicit business and follow up on referrals and potential sales leads. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications for this role are as follows: Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field; 2-3 years of previous catering sales experience in a 4‑star hotel. Fluent English speaking ability and strong verbal and written communication skills. Delphi and Opera experience a plus; proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other computer programs. This job requires the following additional abilities: Work flexible hours and over 8 hours when business demands are high. Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities. Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy. Prioritize, organize delegated work and follow through. Work cohesively with co‑workers as part of a team. The salary range for this role is $38.78 to $41.18 This is the lowest to highest pay scale
