Title: Human Resource Representative

Location: ON-Site, Norfolk, VA

Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

Pay/Duration: $30.00 per hour, 6 months plus contract to direct hire

Experience: 2-3 years in human resources or a related field

Required Skills: Communication, Problem-solving, HRIS, benefits administration platforms

Certifications: SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and files

Process employee data, including new hires, terminations, and benefits changes

Assist with HR-related projects and initiatives as needed

Assist with benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations

Communicate benefits information to employees and support benefits inquiries

Communicate HR policies, procedures, and updates to employees and management

Provide guidance and support to employees on company policies, procedures, and benefits

Investigate and resolve employee complaints and concerns fairly and timely

Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes employee engagement and retention

Assist with the recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, and candidate selection

Coordinate with hiring managers to ensure compliance with company hiring policies and procedures

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
