FirstCash Holdings, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and experienced
Accounting Manager
to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work cross‑functionally with key stakeholders, lead critical aspects of the month‑end and quarter‑end close processes, and drive improvements in accounting operations while ensuring compliance with internal policies and controls.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and support the Company’s month‑end and quarter‑end close processes
Review selected journal entries and account reconciliations
Manage accounting activities related to ASC 842
Ensure compliance with the Company’s internal control framework
Assist in coordinating the external audit process
Conduct technical accounting research and support implementation of new standards or non‑standard transactions
Lead initiatives for process improvements and system enhancements impacting the General Ledger and Accounting functions
Participate in the review of SEC filings, including 10‑Q and 10‑K reports
Collaborate with departments such as FP&A, Legal, Licensing, Operations, and Tax on recurring and ad hoc reporting needs
Prepare and present financial analyses, including variance explanations and issue/opportunity assessments
Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering growth and development
Partner with other departments to align accounting efforts with broader company objectives
Scope of Role
Lead one or more distinct accounting functions
May oversee relationships with external vendors
Operate with a high degree of autonomy in managing deliverables
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred but not required
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
Strong understanding of GAAP and SOX compliance
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Proven leadership and team management capabilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment with multiple priorities
Experience with NetSuite and ProLease is a plus
