Human Resources Generalist
Our client is seeking a proactive and adaptable Human Resources Generalist to support recruiting and core HR functions during a period of organizational growth. This role plays a vital part in attracting and onboarding new employees while ensuring smooth HR operations and compliance with established policies and labor agreements. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple hiring needs with generalist responsibilities and project work. This role can be onsite in Vancouver, Washington or fully remote. Human Resources Generalist Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end recruiting efforts for multiple positions at once, including posting job openings, screening applicants, coordinating interviews, and maintaining candidate tracking logs. Partner with hiring managers to clarify job specifications, ensure alignment with staffing priorities, and support hiring decisions. Prepare and issue offer letters, coordinate background and reference checks, and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires. Organize new hire orientations and ensure accurate setup of employee information within HR systems. Support employee relations by providing assistance with policy interpretation, HR inquiries, and basic complaint investigations. Maintain accurate employee data, personnel files, and HR documentation in accordance with internal policies and labor contracts. Assist with HR compliance activities including leave administration, benefits tracking, and required reporting. Coordinate logistics for candidate interviews and office tours. Contribute to HR process improvements and special projects as assigned. Human Resources Generalist Qualifications
3+ years of human resources experience, including hands-on recruiting for multiple concurrent roles. Strong understanding of HR processes such as onboarding, employee relations, and compliance practices. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to pivot between tasks and priorities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization. Experience working in or awareness of a unionized environment and related policies preferred. Proficiency with HRIS platforms. Experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus, but not required. High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive employee information. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Compensation (DOE)
