Overview
Manager, Integration Compliance and Controls - Shelton, CT & Greenville, SC (Hybrid) is a leadership role within the integration team responsible for executing the detailed integration plan of Hubbell’s acquired entities into its internal control and policy environment, including the adoption of Hubbell’s policies and SOX controls. The role partners with the Director – Integration Compliance and Controls, the business development function, and segment functional teams during the diligence phase of acquisitions to prepare the strategy for policy and control adoption. It involves training the acquired entity on the Company’s control policies and procedures, executing the detailed control plan, and ensuring policy and control compliance through the first year of Hubbell ownership. The position reports to the Director – Integration Compliance and Controls and can sit in Shelton, CT or Greenville, SC. Key Responsibilities
Maintain the policy and controls playbook for integrations as the framework and strategy for adoption during integration. Participate in acquisition diligence to tailor the adoption framework to the acquired entity. Provide hands-on leadership over the adoption process, including: Design of controls in local ERP and business processes to meet control objectives Training the local team in compliance and controls, including: Policy training for those involved with or knowledgeable of Hubbell policy Training SOX control operators and approvers on required steps and objectives Mentoring the local team and monitoring/control operations through the first year of ownership Coordinating with other functions to ensure understanding and adoption of policies and procedures Assisting with initial walkthroughs and testing of the control environment with Hubbell’s SOX team and external auditors Ensuring all tasks in the integration checklist are completed by due dates Partner with IT to ensure systems impacting financial reporting are SOX 404 compliant (e.g., user access reviews, Segregation of Duties, system configuration, program change controls). Provide status updates to the Director – Integration Compliance and Controls on policy adoption progress. Maintain strong partnerships with Hubbell’s business development, segment teams, and acquired business teams. Qualifications & Experience
Finance and accounting professional with 7+ years of experience in accounting/finance leadership roles Experience with a U.S. multinational publicly traded manufacturing company, ideally >$1B in annual revenue Accounting degree required; CPA strongly preferred; MBA a plus Deep experience with SOX 404 and internal audit and compliance programs Experience with Blackline, SAP, and OneStream preferred Strong communication and influencing skills; ability to lead large-scale initiatives with local and executive management Experience interfacing with professionals at all organizational levels Ability to present information clearly and concisely to all levels of the organization Proactive, collaborative leadership style with excellent interpersonal skills Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed Company & Culture
