Lead the planning, design, permitting, funding, bidding, and construction administration related to water/wastewater infrastructure projects. Collaborate with clients to understand project scope, resolve issues, and provide routine progress updates. Focus areas include water intake, treatment, pumping, storage, distribution, and wastewater collection, pumping, and treatment. Prepare plans, specifications, costs, and estimates for municipal and industrial water and wastewater facilities. Utilize engineering design software to edit project designs, draft plans, drawings, and models per project specifications. Lead and manage engineering design tasks from start to finish, supporting project and client services managers. Meet with client board members and provide monthly progress reports. Monitor construction progress, provide construction support and on-site observation. Lead construction administration tasks, including submittal and RFI review, progress payment review, and compliance with funding provisions; oversee onsite project staff. Analyze facilities for compliance with local, state, and federal standards; propose improvements to meet regulations. Assist Operations Manager in engaging with community members, officials, and stakeholders to communicate goals and gather input. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction engineering (ABET-accredited) Minimum 4+ years of civil engineering design and construction experience; water/wastewater project experience preferred Experience in task or project management Engineer-In-Training (EIT) designation required Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred or able to obtain after hire Project Management Professional (PMP) certification with engineering licensure preferred Experience with Civil 3D or similar design software Experience with hydraulic modeling software or similar preferred Knowledge of engineering planning studies Strong verbal and written communication skills About Morrison-Maierle
