The Role
We’re looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Product Owner to serve as the execution leader for critical projects, product level enhancements, and defect remediation. This role demands mastery of Agile practices, exceptional backlog management, and the ability to drive multiple dedicated development teams toward timely, high-quality delivery. You will be the tactical powerhouse ensuring our product vision is translated into working software. The Senior Product Owner is the definitive authority on the day-to-day execution of the development process, focusing on maximizing the flow of value delivered by the teams, managing cross-team dependencies, and ensuring technical details and acceptance criteria are flawless.
What You’ll Do
Backlog Management: Own, prioritize and refine the product backlog for multiple teams, ensuring items are clearly defined and ordered to maximize business value. Detailed Story Writing: Write clear, concise epic specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria for complex features, leaving no ambiguity for the development teams. Technical Alignment: Work with technical leads and architects to understand constraints, resource requirements, and prioritization against technical debt. Acceptance and Quality: Act as the decision-maker for accepting or rejecting product-level enhancements, and ensure the team meets the definition of done before releases. Agile Team Facilitation: Collaborate with engineers to define goals and lead ceremonies to maintain focus, momentum, and alignment; monitor metrics and remove impediments and bottlenecks. Product Partnership: Work closely with Product Managers to understand strategy and bring enhancements to life from the ground up.
What We’re Looking For
6-10 years of dedicated experience as a Product Owner in a fast-paced, high-execution environment, managing complex software products. Master-level understanding of Agile/Scrum principles; proven ability to drive day-to-day execution effectively. Exceptional attention to detail in writing User Stories and Acceptance Criteria; a demonstrated obsession with quality and clear documentation. Strong background in software development processes, system integrations, and data flows to guide technical decision-making. Proven ability to communicate technical details and trade-offs clearly to engineering teams. Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) certification is highly preferred.
