Overview

General Support Services/Office of Planning & Logistics is recruiting for one (1) Supervisor of Stock Workers I to function as Warehouse/Transportation Supervisor who, under the direction of the Director of Warehouse Operations, performs duties related to warehouse operations. HRA/General Support Services (GSS) provides facilities for HRA’s social service programs and supports functions in facilities planning, design, construction, renovation, maintenance, safety, lease and property management, environmental review, contract administration for facilities services, fleet administration, and warehouse operations. GSS supports emergency preparedness for HRA. Location: 260 11th Ave, 4th Fl, NY, NY 10001. Hours: 35 hours (7am to 3pm). Responsibilities

Supervise and train warehouse operations staff through on-the-job training (OJT) and performance meetings. Perform supervisory work related to the utilization of warehouse staff, material handling equipment and storage space. Participate in continuous process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Load and unload materials and supplies; coordinate and schedule pickups and deliveries. Verify and compare receipts to purchase orders and packing slips before materials are stored in stock locations. Report discrepancies and submit finalized delivery reports to procurement for reconciliation and payments. Review pick tickets and packing slip documents from AIM and compare with purchase requests for accuracy. Oversee inventory cycle counts and annual physical inventory. Manage database for tools loaned to Tradesmen. Ensure proper use of warehouse equipment to increase productivity, safety, and report unsafe conditions or injuries to the Director. Oversee the warehouse in the Director’s absence. Minimum Qualifications

Two years of full-time satisfactory experience performing storekeeping activities, at least one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity. Preferred Skills

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and computer skills; excellent interpersonal skills. Other Information
