Sr. Project Manager - Water Location: Tyler, Texas The Garver East Texas Water Team is seeking an experienced
Project Manager
to focus on Client Services and
Project Management
in our Tyler, Texas office. The successful candidate will be responsible for hands-on management of water and wastewater projects through all phases of delivery. This role involves developing and leading diverse water and wastewater projects, maintaining excellent client relationships, participating in industry activities, and mentoring within a growing full-service team. Garver is an established, rapidly growing engineering consulting firm in Texas. Projects may include:
Water distribution, including pumping and storage Sewer distribution, including collection and pumping Water and wastewater treatment plants Improvements and retrofitting of existing water infrastructure facilities Key responsibilities:
Support business development activities Lead and support conceptual planning studies Assist in proposal development Develop scope, fee, and contracts Display technical competency in water or wastewater engineering Manage project scope, assumptions, and estimates Handle multiple projects concurrently Manage time, quality, and project accounting Conduct project reporting and workshops Prepare and execute QA/QC plans Engage in ongoing learning and industry conferences Support construction management (excluding observation) for local projects Travel as needed for projects and industry events Deliverables include:
Detailed design calculations, drawings, and specifications Coordination of disciplines and support teams Stakeholder engagement and permitting Quality and risk management Client workshops Transition to construction and integration phases:
Bid evaluation, contractor pre-qualification Review of submittals and RFIs Construction support and scheduling Owner training and equipment validation System integration and project closeout Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in civil, biological, or environmental engineering (ABET accredited) 7+ years in water/wastewater project management; 3+ years in leadership PE license Experience in responsible design of water/wastewater systems Preferred Skills:
Master's degree in relevant engineering field 10+ years of experience; 5+ years in leadership Understanding of multi-disciplinary practices for water infrastructure Grow With Us
