Sourcing Lead and Strategic Sourcing Analyst – support and implement strategic sourcing activities focusing on aircraft parts (e.g., repairables and various consumables). Conduct comprehensive market research and data analysis to understand industry trends, inform sourcing decisions, and identify potential areas of cost savings. Utilize technical and industry knowledge to identify and qualify potential suppliers to support negotiations. Use analytics to assess and manage supplier performance, ensuring ongoing alignment with strategic objectives and operational needs. Perform Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses to understand the full cost implications of procurement decisions, balancing direct costs with maintenance, operation, and disposal considerations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, particularly operations, to align sourcing strategies with operational requirements, clarify specifications, and meet expectations. Lead multiple sourcing projects from initiation to completion, employing effective project management techniques to ensure on-time delivery and budget adherence. Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks through proactive risk management and strategic planning. Clearly communicate sourcing strategies, project progress, data insights, supplier performance, and TCO analyses to stakeholders at all levels within the organization. Oversee the financial aspects of procurement, including budgeting, cost-benefit analysis, tracking cost-saving measures, and conducting TCO analyses. Qualifications and Skills
Experience with regulatory requirements for aircraft parts preferred but not required. Ability to synthesize multiple pieces of information into a coherent narrative. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft tools to create that narrative: Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint. Use data-driven storytelling to inform management and provide options for decisions, including vendors to use, prices to pay, and understanding statistical analysis. Familiar with using SQL, preferred but not required. Ability to think beyond the next step and anticipate needs. Able to investigate anomalies in data from data sources or data entry errors.
