Strategic Sourcing Analyst

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst works with the Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager and the Strategic Sourcing Specialist on developing and implementing the Tulane University system-wide category strategies. The Sourcing team is responsible for establishing and implementing system-wide category strategies, including category management, strategic sourcing, contract management, supplier relationship management, utilization management, risk assessment, and demand management. This position plays a major role in assisting with the implementation and running of the competitive bidding process through generated report analysis and helps create a streamlined supplier base, while also adding value to the campus by assisting in reducing price points and helping to create additional contract resources for campus commodities. The Strategic Sourcing Analyst may work with other campus stakeholders as directed to help find cost savings opportunities through the reporting process and work to implement such savings from year to year. The Strategic Sourcing Analyst compiles campus spend metrics as directed; legacy spend data, including metric reporting and other areas of focus to forecast and project campus spending trends. This position assists the Strategic Sourcing Manager and the Strategic Sourcing Specialist with other sourcing initiatives, helping to develop category-specific savings, which may lead to procurement efficiencies. The Strategic Sourcing Analyst prioritizes cost savings, and may work independently and within teams to bring data together from a variety of P2P functional areas, collect new data, and apply analyses such as descriptive statistics for reporting. The Analyst is also responsible for communicating and disseminating results in meaningful ways to multiple audiences through summary reports, dashboards, and interactive online data displays. Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Some knowledge of and experience in Procurement and the entire P2P process and Supply Chain Management. Understanding of the competitive bidding process for RFQ, RFP, and RFx. Understands contracts and the art of negotiation. Strategic Sourcing experience and reporting analytics. Analytics assessment, dashboard creation, and KPI analysis and reporting. Ability to communicate well with various groups and stakeholders and effect change. Ability to implement and drive continuous improvement. Knowledge of AI capabilities as it relates to data analysis. Required Education And/or Experience
Bachelors Degree in Business Management, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field. 3 years of experience in Sourcing Management, Data Analysis and management, and or metric reporting. 3 years of experience in Procurement or Sourcing. Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge and experience of Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning. Understanding of Agile methodology and project management. Experience in Higher Education. Seniority level
