Apply administrative, technical, and managerial techniques to assigned projects to ensure successful and timely completion within the allocated budget. Responsibilities

Leadership and Direction: Receive broad guidance from senior-level management regarding objectives and policy matters; oversee managing people and processes to ensure effective execution; review work produced by staff for quality assurance. Operational and Company Level: Assist with marketing the firm’s capabilities to establish new clients and enhance relationships with existing clients; coordinate with internal departments to meet project requirements; stay informed of new methods and recommend practices; represent the organization and maintain liaison with related organizations. Do the Work: Manage competing demands and establish priorities for staff; meet with prospective clients, prepare proposals, and establish budgets and schedules; maintain liaison with clients to resolve project questions including technical requirements, completion requirements, and billing inquiries; oversee all surveying activities and review project changes; supervise survey personnel to meet professional standards; define the scope of multiple complex projects and monitor progress toward schedules; compile project status reports; review job cost sheets and prepare monthly billings; collect outstanding monies; participate in and formulate marketing presentations; secure repeat business and identify new clients; supervise Project Managers as needed. Bachelor's degree in land surveying or related field preferred Professional Land Surveying registration Ten or more years of land surveying or related land development experience, including at least two years of project management experience Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Carlson Ability to manage multiple projects and project teams Understanding of financial principles in a consulting business; ability to interpret municipal codes for Plat preparation and approval Proven marketing and business development skills Licensed surveyor in the relevant state Experience managing a Survey Department preferred About Bowman
