Accountable for obtaining goods/services required by the organization, including indirect operations (e.g., office supplies, computers, travel, maintenance, machine parts) and direct operations (e.g., raw materials and services for manufacturing; products for retail). Procurement processes include product/service sourcing, supplier selection, pricing/terms negotiation, order processing, contract administration, supplier performance management. May include strategic sourcing. Responsibilities
Direct, leverage, and guide the work of others and mobilize resources. Manage two or more direct reports in many cases. Monitor and achieve operational and/or financial results for the area of responsibility. Perform people management actions such as hiring, terminating, rewarding, training, and developing employees. Progression within the levels reflects increases in scope and responsibilities, business and industry experience, and leadership capabilities. Lead subordinate management and/or experienced specialists with significant latitude and independence. Head one or more departments; allocate resources to align with business objectives and annual plans. Analyze situations or data requiring in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives; apply comprehensive understanding of concepts in the discipline and related areas. Solve complex problems using internal or external resources; implement strategic policies when selecting methods and evaluation criteria. Apply knowledge of key business drivers to the area of responsibility; establish operating policies and procedures; Interpret company-wide policies and ensure adherence to budgets, schedules, and performance requirements. Interact with internal and external leadership and senior-level customer representatives on projects, decisions, scheduling, and contractual clarifications; lead briefings and technical meetings.
