The Associate Director, Global Business Operations - Process Excellence Position This strategic role focuses on driving operational excellence, process optimization, and alignment across Global Business Operations (GBO) Procurement, business partners, and key suppliers. The Associate Director will serve as a strategic advisor and internal consultant, leading the development and execution of process excellence strategies, performance frameworks, and change management initiatives that support Procurement, Finance, and enterprise priorities and deliver measurable value. The primary objective is to streamline ways of working and establish best practices that enhance Finance operations’ suppliers and key outsourced and consulting third‑party relationships, while optimizing financial planning and analysis, spend management, and savings realization through close alignment between Procurement and Finance.
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Execute Procurement Service Provider governance initiatives, manage outsourced supplier relationships in partnership with the business while developing and applying metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), overseeing contract management, and facilitating continuous improvement and innovation for key consulting, GBO outsourced, and Finance operational relationships.
Lead the design and implementation of process improvement initiatives and develop standardized operating procedures, reporting and dashboards.
Supplier Solutions Execution
Aligned with Procurement and business leadership, implement and manage supplier solutions that are innovative, compliant and cost effective. Key service areas include:
Corporate Card Programs (in alignment with Finance and the BMS Cash Leadership Office)
Requisition to Pay & Record to Report operations
Expense Management
Order to Cash Services
Tax Services
Consulting Services
Contract Management and Value Maximization
Develop and oversee standardized and optimized contract management processes for key suppliers, working in partnership with Procurement category leads and business teams to ensure agreements are structured to protect and advance company interests.
Review key agreements and contracts to minimize contract leakage and continuously improve and maximize the value of existing supplier relationships.
Ensure compliance with preferred supplier programs, third party risk management, and supplier governance frameworks to enhance supplier reliability and mitigate risks.
Performance Monitoring
Develop, apply and track performance frameworks, metrics, KPIs, and performance dashboards to monitor supplier performance and contract compliance.
Support Consulting Services governance, reporting, analytics, and dashboards.
Coordinate performance reporting for leadership.
Process Excellence and Continuous Improvement
Drive initiatives that deliver measurable value and satisfaction for BMS by optimizing supplier relationships and contract execution.
Identify and eliminate inefficiencies and improve stakeholder experience. Optimize processes and governance to enhance agility and decision-making.
Function as a change agent, promoting a culture of accountability and innovation in service provider governance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Engage with matrix teams to align strategy, drive value, and enhance delivery.
Partner with category leads, GBO business partners, and IT to align process excellence efforts with business needs.
Facilitate strategic forums and governance processes to align stakeholders and drive accountability.
Drive/support both procurement‑wide and category specific continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Minimum education of a B.S./B.A. required; MBA or relevant certification (Lean Six Sigma, PMP) preferred.
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in procurement, operations, and/or process excellence within a global organization; five (5) years of multi‑disciplined procurement / third‑party management experience.
Proven track record of leading cross‑functional initiatives and delivering measurable improvements.
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience with digital tools and process automation platforms.
Experience leading and participating on cross‑functional and/or global teams.
Procurement process knowledge, contract management, financial analysis, market analysis, supplier analysis, supplier management, and strategic planning experience.
Compensation Overview Princeton, NJ – $161,250 – $195,391. The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full‑time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate considers required skills, job location, work schedule, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience.
