Role Facilities Engineer

Coordinate building and equipment improvement projects set forth by the Facilities Department. Manage individual project assignments from start to finish including original project budgets and concept drawings, monitor project cost, communication flow, scheduling, and coordinate all activities to achieve the desired quality and engineering standards. Work closely with the Corporate Facilities Manager to accomplish departmental objectives and monitor all facility activities to ensure adherence to accepted engineering standards and regulations. Communicates directly with all areas of the company including Production, Office Management, Maintenance, Safety and Environmental, and Manufacturing Engineering, providing appropriate level of engineering support to assigned projects.
Your Impact
Provide CAD and manual drafting support for all maintenance, office and production projects, including long-range planning
Assist and direct the activities of assigned construction-related projects, departmental moves, and capital equipment reallocations/additions
Support senior engineers in the preparation of basic plans, designs, computation methods, and/or reporting
Under close supervision, work on projects of limited complexity in a support role
Collaborate with other engineering or business support disciplines internally and with suppliers externally
Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal and external customers, and outside resources concerning technical issues
Analyze and resolve issues reported to Facilities via verbal or written communication
Prepare layouts, drawings, specifications
Provide cost estimates and project coordination of assigned plant and maintenance improvements at all facilities
Work with outside contractors and suppliers, purchasing materials and services required for completion of assigned responsibilities
Provide technical support for all plant operations, including drawings and information for maintenance projects and assisting departments in uniform and functional equipment and facilities selection
Assist in the preparation of capital budgets for all departments
Assist in the development of departmental policies and maintain all departmental drawing and resource files
Provide support and direction to the company’s Safety/Environmental committee meetings
Develop maintenance programs for buildings and grounds, evaluate re-roofing alternatives, and recommend corrective action
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing or Civil Engineering or Facilities/Operations Management
Internship Experience
Pay $63,500.00 - $101,700.00
The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Individual pay is determined by factors including scope and responsibilities of the role, candidate experience, education and skills, and pay equity considerations.
