Overview
Senior Electrical Engineer: Energy and Power (Fort Worth) 28586 — Base pay range $100,300.00/yr - $175,600.00/yr.
Responsibilities
Lead an electrical engineering team to provide advisory services and engineering design solutions for clients across all market sectors.
Collaborate with Client Account Managers and sales professionals on pursuits of strategic importance to the firm.
Mentor and/or manage junior and mid-level electrical engineering staff; work with clients to evaluate energy needs, develop concept-level plans and solutions, and deliver detailed designs through to full execution.
Participate in strategy formation, business development and sales to expand the energy transition portfolio.
Provide end-to-end life-cycle services from exploration and development to operation and repowering/retirement.
Demonstrate broad understanding of power systems and electrical engineering sciences; experience in consulting, design management and project management is highly valued, as is experience in Owner’s Engineer roles, contract management and advisory (technical advisor/due diligence) roles.
Required qualifications
Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering or related engineering discipline
At least 8 years of engineering design and/or consulting experience
Professional Engineering licensure (any US state), with the ability to obtain licenses in additional states as required for a project
PE is required for this role
Proven ability to engage with clients, build relationships and win work, delivering innovative solutions that provide value to both client and provider
Demonstrated ability to participate in business growth strategy, including exploration and development of new project opportunities and knowledge and application of new and emerging technologies
Passion for mentoring and developing junior technical staff
Availability to travel as required to support project needs (typically less than 50%)
Availability to work at least 2 days per week in the Fort Worth, TX office when not traveling
Preferred qualifications
Power distribution systems and microgrids
Power generation projects exceeding 10MW capacity
HV or MV Substations
Renewable energy projects including wind, solar, hydro, geothermal and other technologies
Energy storage systems
Cogeneration or combined heat and power systems
Thermal utility plants and distribution systems (steam, hot water, chilled water)
