Overview
Third parties-absolutely no phone calls please. Candidates must already reside in Plano TX. Client is not open to relocation. This is a long-term contract with a hybrid schedule in Plano, TX, supporting a TMO Automation Project. Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable network automation solutions using Ansible and Python. Automate deployment and configuration of network functions and services across traditional hardware and cloud-native platforms like Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift. Create CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks to support agile delivery of network changes and services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (network, cloud, DevOps, and systems) to integrate automation across IMS, core network, and cloud-native components. Support the onboarding and management of CNFs (Cloud-Native Network Functions) in Kubernetes/OpenShift environments. Develop APIs, tools, and integrations to improve operational workflows and orchestration. Participate in design reviews and ensure solutions meet reliability, performance, and compliance standards. Document automation architecture, playbooks, scripts, and deployment strategies. Required Skills
Extensive automation experience using Python and Ansible. 3+ years operational support in a technical environment. Knowledge and experience supporting Nokia Core products (NDS, UDM, HSS, HLR, PCF) or 5G core network experience along with strong Unix/Linux and/or Kubernetes knowledge. Knowledge and experience with Subscriber Provisioning flows. Experience with TMO implemented systems preferred: ServiceNow, OneConsole, OneData, CyberArk, NetScout, etc. Knowledge and experience working with a Cloud Native computing environment. Knowledge and experience supporting Dell Hardware/IDRAC. Knowledge and experience of the telecom Cyber-Security space: recognizing bad practice and addressing vulnerabilities thru configuration and software changes. Strong written and spoken communication, self-starter/initiative, and ability to work with others. Technology Requirements
Scripting: Python, Ansible, Bash Business Intelligence Unix/Linux CLI Load Balancers (basic) Routers (basic) Database (basic) Additional note: We will need concrete 3 project examples that the person has done themselves.
