ALKU
Provide on-site electrical QA/QC in an already-operational fab, supporting tool installs, retrofits, bay conversions, and scheduled shutdown windows. Systems include MV/LV distribution (utility interface to 480/277/208/120 VAC), switchgear/transformers/PDUs/MCCs/UPS/generators, grounding/bonding, lighting/life-safety, protective relays, and controls integration (SCADA/EMS/BMS).
Day-to-Day
Execute Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), QA checklists, and hold points; perform field inspections and document results.
Review submittals/RFIs, redlines, and as-builts/single-line updates; verify nameplate ratings, breaker/frame/AF/AT settings, and labeling per spec.
Witness/verify insulation resistance, megger/hi-pot (as applicable), grounding continuity, functional checks of EPO/interlocks, and ATS/UPS transfer tests.
Confirm selective coordination and arc-flash mitigation per studies (SKM/ETAP/EasyPower); validate relay settings and protections.
Validate tool utility matrices for power drops, panel schedules, and LOTO/MOP/EOP procedures; check SCADA/EMS/BMS point-to-point and alarm setpoints.
Track and drive closure of NCRs/COs, corrective actions, and punch items with GC/trades; maintain audit-ready turnover packages.
Support startup/commissioning (FAT/SAT/functional testing), energization plans, and AHJ inspections while coordinating with Facilities Ops, EHS, and Tool OEMs.
Must-Have Skills
4–6 years electrical QA/QC or construction engineering in semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, or data center environments.
Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70/70E, IEEE standards; awareness of IFC HPM/OSHA 1910; familiarity with owner standards in live fabs.
Field experience with MV/LV gear, switchgear/transformers/PDUs/MCCs/UPS, protective relays, grounding, and cleanroom tool power.
Proficient reading single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and BIM/plan sets; tools: Bluebeam/Revit/AutoCAD; strong QA documentation discipline.
Hands-on with testing/commissioning (IR/megger, relay function, ATS/UPS, emergency lighting/life-safety) and LOTO/MOP execution.
