NAES is seeking an Electrical Field Engineer to support construction and commissioning activities at a utility-scale solar project. This role will focus on ensuring electrical installations—including medium voltage wiring and terminations—are completed to specification, and that all QA/QC documentation and corrective actions are addressed to support safe, efficient system turnover and startup. Key Project Requirements

Proven field experience with medium voltage (MV) electrical installations, terminations, and QA/QC. Ability to identify non-conformances and drive correction of deficiencies in the field. Strong documentation skills for QA/QC logs, electrical checklists, and redlines. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Monitor and inspect medium voltage wiring, terminations, and grounding to ensure work complies with design drawings and standards. Document installation issues, create punch lists, and follow up to ensure corrections are made. Participate in electrical pre-functional checkouts and QA/QC processes. Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure compliance with project schedule and QA/QC metrics. Support safety compliance, including LOTO procedures and jobsite walkdowns. Job Requirements

Hands-on electrical QA/QC or field engineering experience in utility-scale solar, renewable energy, or power generation. Familiarity with medium voltage cable pulls, terminations, cable testing (Megger, HiPot), and equipment installation (switchgear, transformers, MCCs). Understanding of NEC, NFPA 70E, and relevant QA/QC procedures. Proficient with field documentation tools (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Office). Education / Experience

Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent work experience 5+ years of relevant experience in field electrical QA/QC or commissioning.
