Location:
Forest Park, IL
Shift: 2nd shift, Mon-Fri 4:00PM-2:00AM, with occasional weekend calls in case of emergency.
Job Responsibilities
Design, develop, and supervise electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery.
Manage installation and support of PLC hardware and software.
Plan and modify installations to minimize waste, improve quality, and reduce downtime.
Identify and resolve equipment or system malfunctions, providing technical support to maintenance and production teams.
Program PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) using RSLogix 5000, RSLogix 500, FactoryTalk Studio, and Rslinx.
Configure and design HMI/OIT systems, program HMI and PLC ladder logic, and integrate devices.
Familiar with industry standards UL and CE, vision systems, motion controllers, and protocols like RS232, RS485, Profibus.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, process flow diagrams, and instrumentation diagrams.
Provide hands-on troubleshooting support for control systems, PLCs, HMIs, instruments, and VFDs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, or Business.
3-5 years of experience in process automation, PLC programming, and HMI design.
Proficiency with MS Office and strong communication skills.
Self-starter, team player, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks.
Working Conditions & Compensation Requires awareness of manufacturing environments, protective gear, and flexible working hours. Salary ranges from $78,250 to $115,000 annually, depending on experience.
