We are seeking a skilled and motivated
Automation Engineer
with hands-on experience in
Allen-Bradley (AB) and Siemens PLCs , strong
electrical knowledge , and expertise in
robot simulation and programming . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, programming, troubleshooting, and supporting automation systems for industrial applications. Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement control systems using
Allen-Bradley (RSLogix, Studio 5000)
and
Siemens (TIA Portal, Step 7)
PLCs. Perform
robotic cell simulation and programming
(Fanuc, ABB, KUKA or equivalent platforms). Develop and interpret
electrical schematics , wiring diagrams, and panel layouts. Configure and troubleshoot
HMI/SCADA systems
(FactoryTalk, WinCC, etc.). Conduct on-site commissioning, testing, and system integration. Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to deliver fully integrated systems. Provide technical support, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of automation systems. Document software, changes, and system configurations for future maintenance. Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in
Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics , or related field. 5 to 10+ years of experience
in industrial automation. Proficiency in
AB PLC (RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000)
and
Siemens PLC (TIA Portal, Step 7) . Strong understanding of
industrial electrical systems
and safety standards. Experience with
robot simulation software
(such as Roboguide, Process Simulate, or similar). Ability to read and create
electrical diagrams
and control panel drawings. Knowledge of communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Profibus, Modbus). Willingness to travel to customer sites for commissioning and support. Detroit, MI
