Electrical Engineer

Credence has an immediate need for an Electrical Engineer at the journeyman level to support the mission of the Global Hawk (AFLCMC/WIAG) and U-2 (AFLCMC/WIA) Division. The division provides continuous, high altitude long endurance (HALE), all-weather, day/night, wide area reconnaissance and surveillance remotely piloted aircraft systems. Global Hawk and U-2 division locations include Robins AFB, GA and Wright Patterson AFB, OH. The Sustainment Branch (AFLCMC/WIAGA) provides sustainment support to the operational Global Hawk fleet, including aircraft, payloads, and ground assets. The International & New Business Branch (AFLCMC/WIAPC) enables exportable HALE RPA capabilities to international US partners. International & New Business Branch is located at Wright Patterson AFB, OH.
The Electrical Engineer will provide electrical engineering support for programs and projects, covering system engineering research, design, development, installation, testing, and operation of systems under the responsibility of the IPT. The role emphasizes electrical engineering and requires consideration of Operational Safety, Suitability, and Effectiveness (OSS&E) in all activities.
Responsibilities
Provide system engineering review and analysis of assigned systems through all life-cycle stages (conceptual, demonstration and validation, engineering, manufacturing development, production, and operations & support).
Develop and/or originate new features and improve or validate existing methods, data, and techniques.
Translate DoD user requirements into system requirements for design, development, fabrication, test, and evaluation of systems, subsystems, and equipment.
Review overall system design baseline (architecture and interoperability) requirements.
Assist in developing system specifications and system architecture products.
Perform independent analysis of proposed engineering changes and specifications; provide evaluation and recommendations on vendor proposals to the Government.
Support life cycle cost evaluations on proposed systems and components.
Assist with test and evaluation support, including planning, conduct, and evaluation of results against operational requirements; participate in Integrated Test Teams (ITTs), Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), and related events; help determine availability of major DoD and civilian test resources and facilities.
Assist in scheduling and securing required test resources in support of project objectives.
Monitor, assess status, and report on Test and Evaluation (T&E) efforts of all systems.
Assist in designing, planning, executing, analyzing, and documenting test and evaluation programs, including applicable certifications and procedures.
Support development of system and program technical plans, including review of technical documents, participation in Working Groups, risk/issue tracking, and data review.
Education, Requirements and Qualifications A strong background in avionics is preferred for the ideal candidate.
Active TS/SCI required.
Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university and at least three (3) years of experience in the respective discipline, with at least three (3) years in the DoD or other USG ISR/SOF Organizations.
OR seven (7) years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category, five (5) years in the DoD or other USG ISR/SOF Organizations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements Job may require the employee to:
Willingness to travel if required
Remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
Able to ascend/descend stairs as required
Able to move equipment not to exceed 25 lbs as needed
