$110,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of complex control system architectures for processing equipment, ensuring scalability and reliability. Specify and procure hardware and software components, including advanced PLCs, HMI systems, and motion control systems. Develop and maintain electrical schematics and wiring diagrams using CAD software, ensuring manufacturability and safety. Architect and implement software solutions in C# and PLC programming languages for equipment control and monitoring. Integrate and configure industrial networking protocols such as EtherCAT, PROFINET, and OPC UA for high-speed communication. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and troubleshoot complex issues. Analyze system performance data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and refine control solutions. Act as the technical lead for automation projects, managing timelines and deliverables. Must-Have Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Automation Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in automation controls and software development. Proficiency in Visual Studio and C# programming with object-oriented design principles. Hands-on experience with PLC programming (Ladder Logic, Structured Text) and industrial equipment wiring. Working knowledge of serial communication protocols (e.g., RS232, RS485) and networking protocols like DeviceNet and EtherCAT. Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with Beckhoff embedded PC/PLC hardware. Familiarity with Modbus over RS485 or TCP and OPC UA. Experience with low-voltage and high-voltage wiring (up to 480VAC) and advanced diagnostics. Knowledge of CAD tools such as AutoCAD and EPLAN for creating electrical schematics. Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new control principles and devices through research and experimentation.
