Overview

Petroplan is recruiting for an Electrical Supervisor on behalf of a full service, full life cycle water midstream company. The role is to oversee the planning, installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of electrical and automation systems across operating assets. This position reports to the Vice President of Operations and supports reliable facility operations across the region. Location: Midland or Wink, Texas (Delaware–Permian Region). Key Responsibilities

Lead all aspects of electrical, instrumentation, and automation maintenance programs supporting facility operations. Supervise installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems, including motors, switchgear, transformers, VFDs, and control systems. Oversee construction and maintenance of high-voltage power distribution systems, including poles and lines. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and project management teams to ensure electrical scopes align with project goals and performance targets. Support ongoing electrical and automation projects to maintain operational reliability. Ensure seamless integration of instrumentation and control signals (I/O) between field devices, PLCs, and SCADA systems. Promote and enforce adherence to safety standards, policies, and procedures among all team members and contractors. Coordinate daily maintenance, calibration, and repair activities, including inspection of contractor work for quality and compliance. Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting for electrical and automation systems as needed. Plan and manage resource allocation, scheduling, and materials for both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Provide on-site and remote support for automation or control system issues. Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and offer guidance and coaching to team members. Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of 10 years of oil and gas industry experience with strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation systems. At least 3 years of field instrumentation and electrical experience. Valid Journeyman Electrician License. Proven supervisory experience with ability to lead and motivate teams. Proficiency with standard oilfield and electrical tools and equipment. Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking skills. Solid understanding of control systems, instrumentation interfaces, and SCADA/DCS systems. Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams and departments. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Must hold a valid driver’s license and maintain insurability under company policy. Ability to travel as needed and work in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Master Electrician License. At least 5 years of supervisory experience leading technical teams and achieving operational KPIs. Additional Details
