Overview
We are seeking an entry-level programmer to join our team supporting critical financial systems. In this role, you will develop, test, and maintain software applications while also providing technical support to end-users. The position offers the opportunity to work with mainframe systems, COBOL and/or SAS, and relational databases, with exposure to financial systems and accounting processes. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong analytical skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment. Location
Location: Hybrid – Based in Southeastern Connecticut or near a DXC office. Candidates within 25 miles of a DXC office must work onsite two days per week. Preferred locations: Plano, TX Detroit/Farmington Hills, MI Nashville, TN New York City, NY New Orleans, LA Ashburn, VA Tulsa, OK Essential Job Functions
Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents basic programs according to the specifications provided Writes specifications for programs or enhancements to existing programs Participates in peer reviews Assists in creating unit and other test plans for assigned programming tasks and evaluating results Provides technical and production support to end-users Share with other team members the support of critical systems that might involve working some evenings or holidays Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor’s degree in computer science, finance, mathematics, or related field preferred One plus years of programming experience Experience working with mainframes using COBOL and/or SAS applications Experience working with relational databases to facilitate programming software Experience supporting financial systems or knowledge of accounting a plus Other Qualifications

Compensation at DXC is influenced by experience, knowledge, skills, competencies, and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $45,800 - $74,800. Full-time hires are eligible to participate in the DXC benefit program, including health, dental, and vision insurance; wellness programs; life and disability insurance; retirement savings plan; paid holidays; and paid time off.
