Responsibilities
Perform analysis, design, or test of complex materials, structural components, or functional systems using advanced engineering design software tools.
Study basic design concepts and criteria for complex materials, components, or functional systems; apply engineering principles to adapt or improve heritage features.
Conduct complex engineering design, development, analysis, and/or test activities to support assigned projects.
Develop test programs as needed to evaluate system elements such as materials, structural components, and functional systems.
Manage test activities and test article fabrication, including documentation of results.
Determine engineering tasks required for project planning and execution.
Provide quality customer service; constantly seek new information and meet customer needs.
Demonstrate willingness to seek creative, new, and different ways to accomplish outcomes.
Interact with senior customer personnel on significant technical matters, often requiring coordinated activity across organizational lines.
Perform research for related engineering projects.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of experience, or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 3 years of relevant experience.
Solid knowledge of GD&T principles and application to designs; experience in Siemens NX is required.
Working knowledge of Mechanical Design, structural analysis, hand calculations, and tolerance analysis.
Preferred Skills
Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain it.
Past experience with integration and hardware assembly builds.
