12+ Month W-2 Contract position in Chandler, AZ

Pay: up to $74 per hour based on experience

We are looking for an Aeronautical Engineer 3 in a large international defense/aerospace company.

Qualifications

Solid knowledge of GD&T principles and application to designs.

Experience in Siemens NX.

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline.

5 years of experience (3 with a Master’s degree).

Working knowledge of mechanical design, structural analysis hand calculations, and tolerance analysis.

Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

United States citizenship is required due to government contract requirement; we are unable to sponsor at this time.

Responsibilities

Analyze requirements for materials, structural components, or functional systems.

Select applicable analytical data from previous products, determine technical principles, mathematically define problems, and compute engineering characteristics consistent with specifications and design needs.

Release results as design data after review by a higher‑graded engineer.

Develop original ideas and elaborate on preliminary design concepts.

Evaluate completed designs with supervisors and technical groups, making necessary modifications to achieve the most ideal design.

Develop and coordinate the conduct of test programs required to evaluate design work.

Use advanced structural and product design engineering software tools to perform analysis, design, or test of complex materials, structural components, or functional systems.

Study basic design concepts and criteria for complex materials, components, or functional systems with minimal guidance.

Perform complex engineering design, development, analysis, and/or test activities to support assigned projects.

Develop and manage test programs as needed to evaluate system elements such as materials and structural components.

Manage test activities and test article fabrication, including documentation of results.

Determine engineering tasks required for project planning and execution.

Interact with senior customer personnel on significant technical matters, often requiring coordinated activity across organizational lines.

Perform research for related engineering projects.
