Evaluate, select, specify, and engineer fired equipment suitable for design needs to ensure reliable, cost‑effective, and efficient operation. Prepare equipment cost estimates and man‑hour forecasts for FEED and detailed design phases. Develop fired‑equipment data sheets and technical specifications for bid and purchase. Conduct bid clarifications, attend bidder meetings, and prepare technical bid evaluations and summaries. Participate in client project meetings and coordinate with the fired‑equipment team. Engage in design reviews, model reviews, HAZOP reviews, and constructability assessments. Develop construction sub‑contracts for fired equipment and other mechanical equipment. Support on‑site start‑up and commissioning activities as needed. Attend pre‑inspection meetings, perform inspections, and test fired equipment in vendor shops. Preferred Qualifications

Experience in industries such as power, LNG, gas processing, mining, manufacturing, and water treatment. Proven ability to execute projects from conceptual design through detailed engineering, start‑up, and operations support. Skilled at reading detailed project drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications. Knowledge of material and component selection for fired equipment, auxiliaries, and complex packaged systems. Experience troubleshooting fired equipment and handling small service engineering projects. Ability to perform engineered equipment shop inspections. Proficiency in writing fired‑equipment ASME and API overlay specifications. Familiarity with relevant codes and standards:

ASME Code (Section I, Section VIII – Divisions 1 & 2). NFPA 85, 86, and 87. EPA emissions regulations and test methods. ASME STS‑1; API 521, 537, 560 and related fired‑equipment standards. API 573, 936 for equipment inspection and condition assessment.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program or equivalent engineering experience. Minimum of 5 years related work experience. Active engineering registration or licensure to serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) for applicable projects. Certifications

Active engineering registration or licensure supporting Engineer of Record (EOR) requirements for Black & Veatch projects in applicable countries. Work Environment and Schedule

Typical office environment with prolonged periods of sitting, computer use, and detailed focus. Occasional physical tasks during site visits, including crouching, grasping, and extended standing/walking. Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days, based on manager discretion and job performance. Salary Plan & Job Grade
