Job Summary:
One of our clients is hiring a full-time, onsite Quality Engineer / CMM Programmer in Windsor, CT. The team specializes in producing complex, close-tolerance components for aerospace, defense, and industrial applications.
Job Duties
Develop and edit CMM programs using PC-DIMS and MCOSMOS for machined components.
Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, specifications, and technical documentation to define inspection strategies.
Identify and utilize appropriate fixturing, tooling, and setups to ensure repeatable and accurate measurements.
Review and verify inspection and testing of products for compliance with drawings and specifications.
Perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Gage R&R to validate measurements.
Create and maintain quality assurance documentation including control plans, inspection plans, FAI, PPAP per customer requirements.
Ensure projects and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives, and/or contracts.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineers, machinists, and quality control personnel.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company safety guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Previous work experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role.
Degree in Engineering or related field is preferred.
3+ years experience in CMM programming required.
Strong knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and inspection methodologies.
Working knowledge and familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100.
Proven experience in quality inspection and assurance in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with statistical analysis tools (Minitab, SPC) for measurement data interpretation.
Ability to perform well in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
Team player with a positive attitude and passion for excellence.
Ability to work, drive initiatives, and achieve objectives with minimal supervision.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
