Pro-Air, Inc. was established in 1994 as a Maryland Corporation. Since then, we moved our Headquarters to Washington DC. Pro-Air operates principally as a mechanical contractor that performs the installation, operation and maintenance of all HVAC and Plumbing systems. The company has expanded to include process piping, orbital welding, and a construction division with projects ranging from data facilities to schools, laboratories, hospitals, government facilities, tenant interiors, base buildings and apartment complexes. Pro-Air is a DC CBE firm and fully licensed to perform Plumbing/HVAC in Maryland, Virginia, Delaware and Washington DC. Current offices are in Washington, DC and Elkridge, MD. The MD facility includes a full fabrication shop and warehouse with a bridge crane capable of handling pipe up to 24" diameter, automatic pipe plasma cutters, orbital welders, grooving stations, MIG welders, presses, automated chop saws and other equipment. The 65,000 sq./ft warehouse/fab shop enables prefabrication and last-minute material storage to support project schedules. Pro-Air supports energy efficiency/green build and LEAN construction. The company has LEED-accredited professionals, is a USGBC member, and uses AutoCAD, CAD pipe, Navisworks and Revit with 14 in-house BIM coordinators to model a project before manpower mobilization. Safety is a core focus. Pro-Air staffs OSHA-trained personnel and enforces OSHA practices on and off site. The company also uses a third-party safety auditor for monthly site audits. Today Pro-Air is comprised of approximately 400 field employees, with roles including Project Managers, Field Superintendents, Foremen, support staff, commissioning team and field personnel. Monitors and drives overall project performance and project outcomes. Keeps the project within specified timelines, budget, safety and quality standards. Oversees effective tactical planning including project phasing, value engineering and risk management. Assesses the project and develops strategies to ensure optimal goals, workflows, quality assurance, and risk management. Communicates clear expectations to downstream project staff and holds them accountable to expectations. Serves as a mentor to the Project Engineer(s) and Assistant Project Managers. Works closely with the project owner and/or representative, engineers, inspectors and other personnel to maintain a good working relationship across the project team. Technical
Creates and updates project schedules, tracks progress, submits RFIs and submittals, and coordinates activities between teams. Prepares project documentation including reports, change orders and progress updates; provides technical input to support decision-making. Manages the project budget by overseeing expenses, change orders, budget reviews and supplier/subcontractor invoices. Identifies and resolves project issues, handles scope changes and ensures project goals are met. collaborates with the Superintendent, Project Engineers and Foremen to ensure alignment with plans, change orders, safety and quality standards. Ensures needed technical support is provided to Superintendents/Foremen (e.g., data for materials, submittals, RFI responses). Oversees material, equipment and subcontractor procurement and coordination between project roles. Implements quality control procedures in collaboration with Superintendents and Foremen. Coordinates with estimators and superintendents in the selection of subcontractors and suppliers; ensures timely subcontracts and purchase orders. Monitors monthly project progress and prepares monthly pay requests based on completed work and materials. Any other duties as assigned. Culture
