Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client on their search for a Field Service Technician in Portland, OR. The role is 90% in the field with real-time troubleshooting – local travel only, home nightly. Compensation includes $22.00-28.00/hour base pay, overtime, potential $2,000 quarterly bonus, quarterly safety bonus, company vehicle, gas card, and $2,500 interest-free tool loan.
What You Will Do:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of industrial equipment. Interpret schematics, drawings, and technical manuals related to forklifts and other construction equipment. Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections; address any issues as needed. Communicate repair needs, provide estimates, and explain completed work to customers. Maintain a clean and professional service van; report maintenance needs promptly. Education and Work Experience:
Must have at least 4 years of US Military experience (Mechanical/Electrical MOS required) Strong knowledge of machine diagnostics, schematics, and technical drawings required Must be able to pass assessment regarding basic mechanical/electrical ASVAB level questions. Electrical candidates highly preferred (120-480v) Personable and professional demeanor, excellent customer service acumen Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Availability to work overtime, including occasional emergency service or weekend callouts Job Details
