Our Client, an Internet Content and Information company, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer IV for their Redmond, WA location.

Responsibilities

Design and develop metal components and advanced hinge systems for client wearable prototypes.

Create and iterate CAD models and engineering drawings for hardware subcomponents (hinges, hardware, friction elements).

Communicate with vendors and suppliers to deliver CAD, review DFM feedback, and resolve manufacturability issues.

Analyze part measurement data (CPK/FAI), compare with design intent, and update specifications as needed.

Apply tolerance analysis and GD&T principles to ensure robust, manufacturable designs.

Define and oversee Design of Experiments (DOE) and analyze resulting data.

Support hands‑on prototyping, assembly, and testing of hardware components.

Collaborate daily with a team of engineers and FTEs, working under the guidance of senior engineering leadership.

Requirements

Experience working with metal components, metal manufacturing methods, machining, or hardware interfaces.

Knowledge of tolerance analysis.

GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

DOE (Design of Experiments) methods.

FAI / CPK part inspection data analysis.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related science.

Knowledge/experience with hinge mechanics.

Experience with NX, SolidWorks, or Creo.

Supplier management and DFM experience.

Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Years of Experience: 8–10 years in mechanical engineering or related field.

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related science.

Preferred: Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
