We are seeking individuals eager to learn and grow within our Welding Department as we continue to build the most advanced submarines. The Welding Machine Repair - Electrical role involves troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and operating various complex electronic welding equipment, including robotic welding and plasma systems. The candidate will collaborate with Design to address technical issues and suggest circuit modifications to optimize system performance. Work conditions may include confined spaces, heights/JLG, and heavy lifting. Benefits include: Medical, Dental, Vision 401K Plan Paid Vacation and Holidays Shift Premium Health and Wellness Programs Commuter/Van Services Tuition Reimbursement Safety Boot Reimbursement Qualifications Required: High School Diploma or GED, or 2+ years of related technical experience 5+ years of electrical and electrical maintenance experience Preferred: Completion of specialized schooling in the electronic field beyond high school Skills: Ability to understand and troubleshoot analog, digital, and logic circuits used in electronic welding equipment Familiarity with repair of orbital welding equipment, e.g., AMI/Liburdi Knowledge of line voltages, e.g., 120V, 240V, and 480V systems Proficiency with test equipment, such as multimeters Ability to distinguish colors for job-related tasks Physical Qualifications include climbing, crawling, heavy and medium lifting, kneeling, pulling, pushing, reaching, stooping, and twisting. Environmental attributes may involve exposure to acids or alkalis, cold, dry, dusty, fumes, hot, noisy, oily, outside conditions, and wet environments.
