Status: Full Time Position: Lead MRI Technologist Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6am - 2:30pm With coverage on weekends as needed Responsibilities

The MRI Lead Technologist provides comprehensive care to patients requiring imaging services, in an organized and systematic manner, according to departmental policy and standards. Performs all procedures in their respective modalities, and QA. MRSO preferred. Maintain appropriate staffing levels and schedules at respective sites, coordinating with the chief tech to approve PTO. Direct daily operations of radiology functions in designated modality/location. Provide leadership, training and support for the department. Assist in interpreting policies and procedures for staff; serve as a consultant to staff. Manage technical staff to provide adequate department coverage within approved monthly budget per modality. Maintain equipment service records; arrange for equipment service and PMs alongside QA/QC techs. Assist Supervisor/Chief tech Radiology to evaluate technical staff annually. Manage delivery of care and patient safety; obtain and document patient history and pertinent information; assess patients for potential risk factors. Ensure proper identification of patient and demographics in PACS; follow Doctor’s orders and scans needed information in PACS. Produce quality diagnostic images with proper positioning and technique; maintain cleanliness of exam rooms and adhere to infection control standards. Prioritize and organize work assignments; maintain order and cleanliness in the technological work area. Communicate professionally with other departments; demonstrate understanding of safety, health and moral needs of customers and co-workers. Plan for delivery of care according to patient activity and staff competencies; familiar with emergency equipment and medications to address contrast reactions and emergencies. Prepare patients for procedures; operate imaging systems safely and efficiently; observe Radiation Safety procedures for self and others. Replenish and order supplies; ensure equipment is in acceptable condition by conducting routine QA checks and report malfunctions. Assist Radiologist in performing procedures; prepare and assist in administration of contrast materials (IV and oral as applicable). Cancel and reschedule patient appointments as needed; verify exams in the PACS system; enforce policies and workflow so staff follow appropriately. Qualifications

Diploma from a vocational/technical school required; Associate degree preferred. 1-2 years of tech experience required; 2-4 years preferred. Prior radiology technologist experience required. Experience with imaging and patient care equipment. ARRT and/or ARMRT certification required. Basic Life Support (BLS) required. NJ Bureau of Radiological Health license required. Ability to communicate in English (oral and written) and basic math skills; strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to perform diverse work assignments with time limitations and high accuracy; strong problem solving and priority setting skills. Experience with standard office equipment and Windows-based technology preferred. Responsible for overseeing the performance and training of MRI students. Travel

Flexibility to float to other Imaging Sites as needed. Compensation

Pay Range: $48.37 - $60.48 Hourly The provided compensation range is based on industry standards and salary determinations will be made based on numerous factors including but not limited to years of experience and location of position. Commitment and Compliance
