Automation Manufacturing Engineer Co-op (Summer/Fall 2026) (Onsite) at Collins Aerospace. Location: Cedar Rapids, IA. What You Will Do
Assist senior Engineers in a manufacturing environment in these primary areas: Automation/robotics/optical inspection; PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis); help plan sequence of operations and specification procedures for advanced manufacturing equipment and other processes that affect manufacturing performance and address safety concerns; collaborate in compiling information on cell performance and productivity so that manufacturing performance can be analyzed. Station loading and line balancing Process simulation & capacity analysis Gain knowledge and adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions Gain knowledge of the sequencing of work such as build and delivery, to ensure smooth operations and optimal use of resources Become familiar with Collins Aerospace products, lean manufacturing objectives, test philosophy, and state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques Qualifications You Must Have
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and the student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract Details

This co-op session is full-time, Monday–Friday, May/June–December (including the Fall semester).
