QA - CMM Inspector 2 Job Description
The QA - CMM Inspector 2 inspects machined components, sheet metal components, purchased products and standards, raw materials, assembled products and outside processing for conformance to engineering drawings and specifications. Responsibilities
Read and interpret aerospace manufacturing drawings, including tolerances, customer specifications and technical requirements. Operate CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) to dimensionally inspect product. Manually inspect parts using CMM. Interpret CMM results to accurately compare product to engineering drawings/specifications and electronic models with supervision. Edit CMM programming online with supervision. Accurately compare product to engineering drawings/specifications, purchase order, and manufacturing orders using common manual inspection equipment (e.g., PCM’s, height gage, dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, protractors, profilometers, bore gauges etc.) to accept or reject product to customer engineering requirements. Document product acceptance/rejection on manufacturing order, processes any necessary rejection documentation, and performs various MRP system functions. Perform Rockwell and Eddy Current testing for product acceptance. Understand and apply statistical sampling techniques. Review outside processing certifications of nondestructive testing, chemical processing, and finish, and verify physical appearance of final product for conformance to engineering specifications. Fully capable of understanding, performing, and completing FAI’s in accordance with Company and AS9102 requirements. Follow all safety guidelines established by the Company, including proper use of safety equipment and relevant safety procedures. Other duties as assigned. Key Skills & Experience

Preferred: A minimum of five years hands‑on inspection experience operating a CMM in a regulated industry. Two years (recent) hands‑on inspection experience operating a CMM in the aerospace industry. Basic ability to use CAD systems (CATIA, AutoCAD). Basic ability to use Engineering Drawings. Basic Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). High school diploma or equivalent. Trade school or college courses in related fields (e.g., CMM, blueprint reading, GD&T). CAD certification. Benefits & Compensation
