Job Description
AECOM’s Water Business Line is actively seeking a
Water Resources Engineer
for employment in the Houston, Texas office. The successful candidate will work with Project Managers and other technical disciplines on all project phases to deliver flood risk, stormwater, and resiliency projects.
Responsibilities
Perform complex hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
Serve as a technical reviewer, advisor, and mentor.
Develop technical reports and plans.
Support project management efforts.
Support team, subconsultant, and client coordination and management efforts.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or related field and 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Professional Engineering license in Texas or ability to attain within six months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
8 years of experience in water resources engineering.
Master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering.
Background in flood risk analysis, stormwater management, watershed planning, and drainage design.
Willingness and aptitude to develop into a Project Manager or Technical Leader role.
Proficiency in software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, XPSWMM, PCSWMM, Infoworks ICM.
Experience with projects for clients such as Harris County Flood Control District, Texas Water Development Board, Texas General Land Office, FEMA, Texas Department of Transportation, Harris County Engineering, San Antonio River Authority.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is
$80,000
to
$130,000
yearly.
