Responsibilities
Check manufacture\'s drawings performing engineering calculations.
Work on design layouts verifying code compliance quality checks meeting project schedules and budget as well as coordination of work with other disciplines as required.
Typical design work would deal with power distribution, motor control, lighting, power system analysis and grounding.
Depending on project size job may require supervision of designer and CAD operators. Projects include power industrial and institutional facilities.
Must be able to work among other disciplines and have good communication analytical and organizational skills.
Candidate must also display attention to accuracy and be detail orientated.
Participate in field reviews or construction observation.
Familiarity with Piping and Instrument Diagrams, having professional work experience
Some travel may be involved
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm preferred.
3.0+ GPA
Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required
EIT certification strongly preferred. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of "Coordinator" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression

Required Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field
Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a task
Knowledgeable of Allen-Bradley, Modicon, Wonderware and/or Interlution.
Microsoft Office experience
May need to travel
