This role is for an Automation & Controls Supervisor who will lead efforts to improve equipment availability and reliability, develop training, and support maintenance of technical assets. What You’ll Be Doing

Supervise a team of Automation & Control Technicians on all 3 shifts. Expand use of root cause analysis and predictive maintenance techniques; diagnose recurrent problems using equipment history and advanced evaluation methods. Develop, conduct, and coordinate equipment training for technicians, maintenance mechanics, and machine operators; implement a “train the trainer” approach for knowledge transfer during new installations. Provide leadership and standardization of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) practices company-wide; participate in TPM pit stops and equipment strategies for new and existing equipment. Oversee maintenance of high-level electronic equipment and controls; prioritize electronic maintenance and delegate to Electronic Technicians. Ensure workmanship meets corporate quality standards; conduct routine audits of work orders and maintain thorough documentation. Assist maintenance supervisors and planners in developing PM work orders and job plans for highly technical assets. Stay informed of new technological developments and implement as required; proactively support continuous improvement activities. Independently manage and execute multiple complex automation projects; analyze equipment history data to identify and mitigate negative trends in equipment availability. Develop a comprehensive understanding of SAP functionality as it relates to the maintenance department. Ensure safety practices are executed, including use of protective equipment; maintain work areas to meet safety and housekeeping standards. What You Should Have

6-8 years of relevant maintenance experience. 1-2 years of relevant leadership experience. 2 year / associate degree in industrial technology or related field, or equivalent work experience. 4 year / bachelor’s degree in electromechanical technology, automation engineering technology, electronics, automation, or related field preferred. Preferred Skills / Certifications

Understanding of electrical hazards and mitigation techniques; knowledge of NFPA 70E in industrial manufacturing. Project management skills; light engineering experience; strong communication abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office; advanced knowledge of industrial controls and automated systems. A Few Things We Think You Should Know

The starting base pay range for this position is $83,234 - $102,818 and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
